Celebrex only treats the symptoms of different types of arthritis, it does not cure the condition, nor does it stop it from progressing. It can also be used for relieving acute pain and pain connected to primary dysmenorrheal or menstruation.
The dosage of Celebrex varies, it depend on the condition and its severity. For example, when treating osteoarthritis taking 200 mg a day is prescribed, for rheumatoid arthritis 100 to 200 mg, and for menstrual cramps or acute pain 400 mg a day is recommended.
